Ten days of Umbraco: an Umbraco 17 dashboard built with Vite, load-balancing prep, Windows Server 2025 setup, a Next.js release, and Codegarden roadmap coverage worth checking against the vendor.

The first ten days of August 2026 in Sitecore: an XP 10.5 release described as Solr 10 only, package installation off by default, Pathway's migration boundaries, and a CVE fix in Next.js 16.3.0.

Package Designer left SitecoreAI on 7 July in base image 1.8.24, six days after the Content Transfer and Item Transfer APIs went GA. What that breaks, who filled the gap, and the rest of an 86-item month.

Sitecore acquired Scrunch on 3 June and the ecosystem spent the month writing about AI search. The one post with a date in it says JSS 22 maintenance ends and Content SDK is the path forward.

One product story told twelve ways. Content SDK 1.6.0 closed a preview permission hole, a community guide puts JSS end-of-support in June 2026, and Sitecore's own two posts were about readiness rather than product.

Umbraco 17.4.0 exposed JSON Schema for data types and document types, which is what makes programmatic content writing verifiable. Around it: four Umbraco.AI add-ons in beta, uSync 17.3.0's version jump, and a preview-URL auth bypass.

SUGCON Europe filled London and SitecoreAI took the stage, but the month's operational content was written by individuals: the JSS 22.x migration path, App Studio extensions, and a second search model.

From 1 June, Extended Support stops including security patches and production incident support. Content SDK 2.0 requires Next.js 16 and renames middleware.ts. And the manual for Sitecore's AI surface is being written by volunteers.
